The PivotLink management team is made up of experienced leaders from the Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Software as a Service, and other leading technology and information-based industries. Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge and understanding to the company and our customers.
Quentin Gallivan - CEO
Quentin has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the high-tech industry and has held a variety of senior executive positions with market-leading companies such as Postini (now Google), VeriSign, Netscape, and General Electric. Under Quentin’s leadership, Postini became the market leader in secure messaging and compliance solutions delivered on demand. Postini reached large operational scale, with over 35,000 customers and over 10 million users in 25 countries. It became highly profitable, with a diversified customer base and strong customer renewal rates, and was sold to Google for $625 million in September of 2007. Prior to Postini, Quentin spent eight years at VeriSign as the executive vice president of Worldwide Sales and Field Operations. He played an instrumental role in the company’s growth from less than $20 million in revenues in 1997 to more than $1.2 billion in revenues in 2005. Prior to VeriSign, Quentin was vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific and Latin America, for Netscape Communications. Additionally, he spent 12 years with the General Electric Company, in key executive roles as vice president, Asia Pacific, for a GE business unit based in Hong Kong and vice president, Americas, for a unit based in Maryland.
Ching Wan - Founder, CTO
Before founding PivotLink in 1998, Ching was a senior technical architect at Cambridge Technology Partners, specializing in data warehouse practices. Ching also worked at several startup companies in the Los Angeles area. He led a number of pioneering software development projects, including an object-oriented database management system, a graphic spreadsheet application, and warehouse management systems. Ching earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Tsinghua University in China and a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Southern California.
Jeff deCillia - CFO
Prior to assuming his role at PivotLink, Jeff was a consultant and advisor to a number of early-stage SaaS and enterprise software technology companies. Jeff was also CFO at Captaris Inc. (CAPA), a $100 million, 500-employee global leader in communications software technology. During his tenure, the company completed significant M&A transactions, successfully returned to profitability, and achieved a fivefold increase in its stock price. Prior to Captaris, Jeff was the CFO at Cartia Inc., a venture-backed startup specializing in enterprise information mapping that was sold to Amazon. Jeff also spent seven years at Deloitte & Touche. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of Washington.
Dyke Hensen - Senior Vice President, Product Strategy
Dyke Hensen has been at the forefront of Business Intelligence software for over 20 years. Prior to joining PivotLink, Dyke held several high-level positions at Business Intelligence companies including SPSS, Hyperion Solutions, and Arbor Software. Most recently, during his tenure as senior vice president of marketing at SPSS, Hensen and his team created the predictive analytics category by combining traditional Business Intelligence with advanced discovery, predictive modeling, and data mining techniques to create a new class of predictive applications. Hensen held several management positions at Arbor Software, a pioneering Silicon Valley BI company that created the “OLAP” market segment. Arbor Software merged with Hyperion Software and was eventually sold to Oracle Corporation for over $3 billion. After the merger, Hensen was promoted to chief product officer at Hyperion Solutions, where his teams were responsible for product development and product marketing. Hensen helped grow the company to over $650 million in annual revenues.
Bob Kemper - Senior Vice President, Development
Bob Kemper brings over 20 years of software engineering experience to PivotLink, including senior executive roles at PrecisionPoint Software, SPSS and Hyperion. Prior to PivotLink, Kemper served as vice president of engineering at PrecisionPoint Software, a pioneer in metadata-driven automation of full-featured data warehousing solutions for Microsoft Dynamics customers. He previously served as senior vice president of research and development at SPSS, where he managed SPSS' SaaS survey platform, was instrumental in building its market-leading predictive analytics solutions and re-architected its core products into a service oriented architecture (SOA). Kemper also has over 10 years of experience at Hyperion, where he most recently served as vice president of application development, helping to create the market-leading financial planning and consolidation applications and managing a team of over 200 developers.
David Vonk - Senior Vice President of Sales, Services & Business Development
David Vonk brings extensive experience in building world-class sales and services organizations at SAP and OutlookSoft Corporation. Prior to PivotLink, Vonk served as group vice president of North America Business User Sales at SAP, where he was responsible for driving the value of business user solutions, including SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence; Enterprise Performance Management; and Governance, Risk, and Compliance. Vonk joined SAP in 2007 through the OutlookSoft acquisition, where he was vice president of sales. Previously, Vonk served as assistant vice president of finance for First Union, where he focused on launching the credit card business, growing alternative revenue channels and M&A activities.
Rosanne Saccone - Senior Vice President, Marketing
Ms. Saccone brings 20+ years of high-tech marketing, finance and business planning/strategy experience. She was Chief Marketing Officer/Senior Vice President at BEA Systems. Inc., responsible for all aspects of BEA marketing strategy, planning and operations worldwide, including developing and executing the BEA go-to-market plan, and driving all elements of an integrated, global marketing program. Ms. Saccone began her career with Hewlett-Packard in finance, and led marketing organizations for high-growth new services initiatives as well as for mature billion dollar businesses. Ms. Saccone graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia, The Darden School with a master’s in business administration and with Honors, Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Economics from Stanford University.
